Frequently Asked Questions
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
My office is located in Highland Park, Los Angeles (90042) for in-person sessions. If you prefer the flexibility of virtual therapy, I offer telehealth sessions to clients anywhere in California.
HOW MUCH DO SESSIONS COST?
Each 45-minute session, including the initial intake session, is $300 for individual and $325 for couples. Payment is due at the time of your session, and I accept all major credit cards.
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
I don’t accept insurance directly, but I can provide you with a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance provider. Some plans offer partial reimbursement for out-of-network providers, but coverage varies—it's always best to check with your insurance company about your specific benefits.
HOW DOES THE FREE CONSULTATION WORK?
I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can get to know each other and see if we’re a good fit. This is a chance for you to share what brings you to therapy, ask any questions, and get a sense of how I work. There’s no pressure to commit—just an opportunity to see if this feels right for you.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THERAPY?
Starting therapy can feel daunting, but many people find relief just from taking the first step. Our work together is collaborative—I bring my expertise in therapy, and you bring your expertise in your own life. Therapy is an active process, so the more you engage, the more you’ll get out of it. Sometimes, I may suggest exercises or reflections between sessions to help you build insight and practice new skills. Ultimately, my goal is to help you become your own best therapist.
DOES TELETHERAPY WORK?
Yes! Research shows that teletherapy is just as effective as in-person therapy for many people. Plus, it allows you to attend sessions from the comfort of your own space, which can make opening up feel even easier. If you're unsure, we can talk about whether teletherapy is a good fit for your needs.
DO YOU PROVIDE GOOD FAITH ESTIMATES?
Yes. Under federal law, if you’re uninsured or not using insurance, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of the expected cost of services. For more information, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
